Bayern Munich have rejected a €50m (£38m) bid for David Alaba from Real Madrid, according to AS.
Alaba, 23, only signed a new three-year contract extension in March keeping him at the Allianz Arena until 2021 but is a number one transfer target for Madrid this summer.
Bayern have rejected Madrid’s opening offer and reportedly will not accept any offer less than €80m (£61m) for Alaba, who is a left back by trade but now can now play at the heart of the defence and in central midfield.
Only two players averaged more passes per game in the Bundesliga than Alaba (81.6) this season and only teammate Rafinha (92.6%) boosted a higher pass success rate (92.4%) in Germany’s top-flight.
