Everton weigh up Lukaku replacement

Everton have Wilfried Bony in their sights if they lose Romelu Lukaku in the summer, according to The Sunday People, via The Daily Mirror.

Lukaku, 22, has been in sublime form for Everton this season but has been vocal in his desire to play Champions League football, which Roberto Martinez’s side will not be able offer next season.

As a result, the Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move away from Everton and the Toffees have already lined up Manchester City outcast Bony as a possible replacement.

Bony, 27, has barely got a look in since making the £28m move from Swansea in January last year and is expected to be sold by incoming manager Pep Guardiola, with West Ham also interested in the striker.

Of players to have scored more than five league goals since January 2015, only four have a worse conversion rate than Bony (8.6%).
