La Liga giants eyeing up England striker

Scouts from La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona will be in attendance when England face Spain tonight to run the rule over Jamie Vardy, reports the Daily Mail.

The Leicester City striker has been in fine form this season, which has helped the Foxes up to 3rd in the Premier League.

Only Bundesliga duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Robert Lewandowski (both 14) have netted more goals than Vardy (12) in Europe's top 5 leagues this term.

His exploits in front of goal has caught the attention of a number of teams, with Liverpool and Tottenham also rumoured to be interested in the 28-year-old.

However, they could face stiff competition from Madrid and Barcelona, who are believed to be keen on securing the services of the England international.

Vardy's form for Leicester has seen him gain a WhoScored rating of 7.85 this season, a figure only teammate Riyad Mahrez (8.17) betters of all Premier League players.

Vardy, though, is struggling to be fit in time to face Spain after sustaining a groin problem in Leicester's win over Watford last week.
