Chelsea are already weighing up whether or not to terminate Alexandre Pato’s loan spell early with youngster Bertrand Traore ahead of the Brazilian in the pecking order, according to the London Evening Standard, via Sky Sports.
Pato, 25, is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea since joining from Corinthians until the end of the season back in January.
The former AC Milan striker hasn’t played competitively since November and has been building his fitness up since his arrival, although it is now though Traore has done more to impress interim manager Guus Hiddink.
With Diego Costa suspended, it will be interesting to see whether Hiddink gives Pato his Chelsea debut or whether Traore will continue, which should give a greater indication to what future Pato has a Stamford Bridge going forward.
Traore, 20, is averaging a goal every 76.3 minutes this season for Chelsea in all competitions.
