Barcelona are set to firm up their interest in Chelsea attacker Willian as they look to strengthen before the close of the transfer window, reports the Times.
The La Liga side have been rocked by the departure of Neymar and have signed only Gerard Deulofeu, Nelson Semedo and Paulinho this summer.
They have also been frustrated in their pursuit of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, with the Reds standing firm on the Brazil international.
Barcelona could instead turn their attention to Willian, who has been courted by Manchester United this summer.
The Blues, though, rejected any approach from United and were open to selling the 29-year-old at the end of last season due to a lack of playing time.
Willian only signed a four-year deal with the Premier League champions last summer and despite impressing in the opening two league goals of the season, may still depart Stamford Bridge before next week’s deadline.
However, if Chelsea are open to selling the former Shakhtar Donetsk star, United would likely rival Barcelona for his signature.
