Chelsea midfielder reveals Paris Saint-Germain ambitions
Tiemoue Bakayoko hasn’t even returned to Chelsea yet and is already talking up a future move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Bakayoko endured a nightmare maiden campaign for Chelsea before being farmed out to AC Milan on a season-long loan deal last term.
The France international caught the eye in spells during his time in Italy but has now returned to Chelsea in order to force his way back into the reckoning at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will likely have to start their FIFA-imposed transfer ban this summer, which boosts Bakayoko’s chances of getting minutes for the west London outfit.
The 24-year-old has a long way to win over Chelsea’s supporters following his abysmal first season at the club and has already risked antagonising fans with his latest comments about a future move to PSG.
“Yes, for sure, one day I would like to play in Paris,” he told L’Equipe, via the London Evening Standard. “I cannot lie about it. It’s big for me and my loved ones. We are real Parisians.”
Bakayoko was linked with a move to PSG before Chelsea signed the midfielder from Monaco in £40m deal in the summer of 2017.
Of players that attempted at least 50 dribbles in Serie A last season, only Ismael Bennacer (77.6%) and Soualiho Meite (73.2%) had a better success rate than Bakayoko (72.1%).
