Fiorentina are weighing up a move for Chelsea veteran Branislav Ivanovic, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Ivanovic, who turns 32 next month, has entered the final six months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and has yet to be awarded an extension.
The Serbia international has been a model of consistency since joining Chelsea from Lokomotiv Moscow in January 2008, but started the current campaign in diabolical form only mounting further uncertainty on his future at the club.
His performances have started to improve, but Fiorentina are still reportedly hopeful of snapping up the versatile defender either this month or on a free contract at the end of the season.
Since the 2009/10 campaign, Ivanovic has only made one error (vs Manchester City - 16th August 2015) that has directly led to a goal in the Premier League, which is an extraordinary feat for a defender that has made 215 appearances in that time.
