Chelsea not looking to sell Brazilian this summer

Chelsea are not interested in selling Willian this summer despite falling down the pecking order under Antonio Conte this season, claims the London Evening Standard.

The Brazil international has endured a troubled season off the pitch with a family bereavement that disrupted his availability to Conte but Pedro has emerged as the Italian’s first choice to play up alongside Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho failed with a move to reunite with Willian at Old Trafford last summer and there had been suggestions he could try his luck with his former club once again at the end of the season.

Willian has only started 13 Premier League games this season and there had been suggestions Chelsea would look to cash in on the 28-year-old but Conte has no plans to sell the forward, particularly with the club set to return to the Champions League next season.

Only three players have scored more goals in the Premier League for Chelsea this season than Willian (7), despite his reduced role.
