United kicking themselves over Keane sale

Manchester United are rueing their failure to insert a sell-on clause in Michael Keane’s transfer to Burnley, reports The Sun.

Keane, 23, left United for Burnley in a deal worth £2.5m deal in 2015 but his impressive performances this season have seen the defender linked with a £25m move to Chelsea in January.

The 23-year-old centre-back earned his first ever call-up to the England senior squad earlier this week and United will miss out on any big money move after failing to include a sell-on clause when he left the club.

Only Phil Jagielka (44) has completed more headed clearances than Keane (43) in the Premier League this season.
