Paris Saint-Germain not going to bid for Mbappe this summer

Paris Saint-Germain are the latest side to pull out of the race to sign Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 champions this summer and has reportedly even told Leonardo Jardim’s side he wants to leave the club.

Real Madrid were the frontrunners to sign Mbappe at the start of the summer but recent comments made by Florentino Perez would suggest they are no longer in the market for a new striker.

Meanwhile, reports in France emerged suggesting the Ligue 1 giants were preparing a £140m bid for Mbappe, but it is now claimed Unai Emery’s side have been forced to shelve their interest in the wake of Neymar’s arrival.

PSG shelled out a world record £193m fee to sign the Brazil international earlier this month and they have now been forced to end their interest in both Mbappe and Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, albeit only for this summer.

Of players that scored at least 15 goals in Europe’s top five leagues last season, only Max Kruse (36.6%) and Alexandre Lacazette (28.8%) had a higher conversion rate than Mbappe (28.8%).
