Bale ruled out up to four months

 

Real Madrid have been dealt a huge blow with Gareth Bale set for up to four months on the sidelines, reports The Daily Mail.

 

Bale was forced off during the second half of Madrid’s 2-1 win over Sporting in the Champions League on Tuesday and scan results have since revealed he has damaged his the tendons in his right ankle.

 

The Wales international, who signed a long-term deal with Madrid in October, is set to undergo surgery in London before spending up to the next four months recovering, meaning he isn’t expected back until around March.

Not only will Bale miss Madrid’s clash against Barcelona at the start of December, but he will also miss their must win final Champions League group game against Borussia Dortmund through, as well as the Club World Championships.

 

With Toni Kroos (7.89 rating) also out injured, it means Madrid are without their two highest WhoScored rated players for the foreseeable future (Bale – 7.89).
