United target could sign new deal

Manchester United target Paul Pogba could stay with Juventus this summer and sign a new deal, according to the player’s agent Mino Raiola.

Jose Mourinho’s side are expected to firm up their interest and make a world record £100m bid to re-sign Pogba before the end of the month just four years after letting him go to Juventus for £800,000 in compensation.

Real Madrid, who Pogba would prefer to join, have pulled out of the race after being priced out of the market by United and Raiola has revealed Juventus plan to offer Pogba a new deal to remain with the Serie A champions.

“Maybe he [Pogba] will not leave [Juventus this summer]. He’s in no rush to leave, and Juventus do not want him to go. They want him to renew his contract,” Raiola told The Times.

“Several big clubs are interested in Paul Pogba. Juventus are a club that want to keep their star players.”

Pogba received mixed reactions from fans following his performances for France at Euro 2016 after they lost the final against Portugal in extra time on Sunday evening.
