Chelsea have made their move to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho after opening talks with his representatives about a summer move, claims France Football.
Sancho is widely expected to leave Dortmund at the end of the season after developing into one of the best youngsters in European football during his three-year stint at the club.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Sancho since the end of last season but now face stiff competition for his signature from Chelsea.
It was thought Chelsea had cooled their interest after confirming a deal for Ajax sensation Hakim Ziyech earlier this month but Frank Lampard's side still want the Dortmund star.
Chelsea have even stepped up their pursuit after opening talks with Sancho's camp about a summer move in a bid to gazump United's interest.
Sancho was remarkably the first player to reach double figures for goals and assists in Europe's top five leagues this season and has played a direct hand in 26 goals (13 goals, 13 assists) in 20 appearances.
The 19-year-old has also surpassed his goal tally from the entirety of last season (12) in 14 fewer appearances.
