Team News

Luton
Arsenal
  • Rob Edwards lost centre-backs Tom Lockyer and Teden Mengi to injury in Saturday's 3-1 loss at Brentford, and with Reece Burke and Mads Andersen sidelined, the Luton boss may change shape to a 4-2-3-1.
  • Ryan Giles is expected to come in at left-back in the absence of Alfie Doughty, while Dan Potts, Cauley Woodrow and Marvelous Nakamba are sidelined.
  • Albert Sambi Lokonga is ineligible to face his parent club, though is injured anyway.
  • Takehiro Tomiyasu is a doubt having been forced off late on in Arsenal's 2-1 win over Wolves.
  • Mikel Arteta has no further fresh injury concerns with Jurrien Timber, Thomas Partey, Emile Smith Rowe and Fabio Vieira all absent.
  • Ben White and Jorginho may both come into the XI at Luton on Tuesday.

Prediction

  • Luton were unable to build upon their 2-1 home in over Crystal Palace as they fell to a 3-1 loss at Brentford on Saturday and lost key defenders to injury in the process. Things don't get any easier for the Hatters, who welcome Arsenal and Manchester City to Kenilworth Road in the space of five days.
  • The Gunners head into the midweek round of games top of the table and they'll feel confident of maintaining their lead on Tuesday night. Arsenal have won four of their six away league games this season, though only one of those victories was by more than one goal.
  • Given Luton's raft of absences, particularly in defence, Arsenal should put another three points on the board.
