The 21-year-old RB Leipzig forward is a wanted man ahead of the Euros...
Arsenal are in the market for a striker this summer with Benjamin Sesko emerging as a top target for the Gunners if reports this week are to be believed. The north London side came close to knocking Manchester City off their perch and will look to go one step further next season with Sesko rumoured to be their top target.
With that, we take a look at five facts that will excite Arsenal fans ahead of a potential summer switch to the Emirates.
He's incredibly consistent
It took a little while for Benjamin Sesko to get going in the Bundesliga this season but he ultimately ended the campaign with 14 league goals to his name from just 1532 minutes of game time. The youngster was prolific in front of goal in Germany's top tier this term. Indeed, of the 127 players to manage at least 25 shots, only VfB Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy (30.4%) managed a better conversion rate than Sesko (29.8%) in the 2023/24 campaign.
He's nothing like Erling Haaland
Given Sesko's route to German football, there were inevitable comparisons between the RB Leipzig striker and fellow Salzburg alumni Erling Haaland. Both are physically imposing forwards that have followed the route of Austrian giants to the Bundesliga, and then potentially the Premier League. It's easy to draw comparisons. However, while Haaland operates better as a number nine, Sesko shows a desire to drift to the flanks and this would benefit the current wingers at Mikel Arteta's disposal.

He's strong in the air too
Standing at 6ft 5in, Sesko is an imposing individual on the frontline. He has the standing to give defences nightmares and he maximises his presence to good effect. Sesko has developed a statistically calculated WhoScored strength of 'headed attempts' and for good reason. Despite a lack of minutes, only Harry Kane (8) scored more headed goals than the RB Leipzig man (5) in the Bundesliga this season. For an Arsenal side that does seek to exploit set-pieces, Sesko would be another body in the box to pick out.
He's an affordable option
In a window where a big name striker is expected to be in high demand, Sesko is actually on the more affordable side. That's because he has a £55m release clause in his contract. While RB Leipzig are seek to remove that clause from his deal, Sesko could prove one of the signings of the summer for any side look to invest in a powerhouse frontman that looks to drift to the wings.
His agent has been spotted watching Arsenal
One of Arsenal's key victories in their campaign was the 1-0 win at Manchester United in mid-May. Arsenal weren't at their best but came away with all the spoils. And to further heighten speculation over a potential summer transfer, Sesko's agent Elvis Basanovic was seen at Old Trafford.
