Crystal Palace eye Sean Dyche and two Burnley players this summer
Crystal Palace are eyeing a triple raid of Premier League rivals Burnley this summer including manager Sean Dyche, reports The Daily Mirror.
Hodgson is contracted for another season at Palace but the former England manager is due to turn 73 over the summer and there were doubts whether he would even be able to return to coach the remainder of the season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Palace now have one eye on the future and have earmarked Burnley boss Dyche as their number one target to replace Hodgson for next season.
Dyche has spent the last eight years at Burnley and has done a remarkable job establishing the club as Premier League mainstays despite working off a shoe-string budget.
The 48-year-old has been heavily linked with various other Premier League jobs in recent years but has remained loyal to the Clarets, though Palace are willing to test his resolve.
Dyche isn't the only Burnley asset Palace are keen on acquiring over the summer, with star duo James Tarkowski and Dwight McNeil aso on their radar.
Tarkowski is widely regarded as one of the best centre-backs outside the established top-six Premier League sides, while McNeil has been tipped for a huge future.
With Wilfried Zaha expected to depart Palace at the end of the season, Palace will need to sign a new winger, while first-choice centre-backs Gary Cahill and James Tomkins are both the wrong side of 30.
McNeil has played a direct hand in seven goals in 29 league appearances for Burnley this season (two goals, five assists).
Moreover, only Trent Alexander-Arnold (33) has made more accurate crosses (excluding corners) than McNeil (32) in the Premier League this season.
