Everton are weighing up a stunning £30m bid for Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles, claims The Sun.
Marco Silva wants to wrap up his transfer dealings as quickly as possible this summer and has earmarked Lascelles as a priority signing.
Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams are coming to the end of their respective careers and Silva wants to find a long-term partner for Michael Keane.
Lascelles was a key man for Newcastle last season and has already been linked with moves to Chelsea and Liverpool in the last 12 months.
The 24-year-old as considered unlucky not to receive international recognition for England for the 2018 World Cup.
Everton are also monitoring William Carvalho’s future at Sporting and Silva hopes to add the Euro 2016 winner to his midfield options ahead of the upcoming campaign.
No player featured in more Premier League minutes for Newcastle than Lascelles last season (2928), while only defensive partner Florian Lejeune (7.05) earned a higher WhoScored rating (Lascelles – 7.04).
