PSG weigh up move for Napoli midfielder

Paris Saint-Germain are not finished with the impending arrival of Julian Draxler and are considering a move for Napoli midfielder Jorginho, reports France Football, via Football Italia.

Unai Emery’s side are expected to complete the signing of Draxler from Wolfsburg ahead of Arsenal and aren’t finished there, with more signing anticipated as they look to overcome their underwhelming start to the season.

Jorginho has been handed less playing time under Maurizio Sarri this season despite being a pillar in the team under the Napoli boss last term and PSG are interested in taking advantage of the situation as it stands.

The arrival of Bologna teenager Amadou Diawara over the summer has seemingly knocked the Brazilian-born Italy international down the pecking order and, having come close to leaving at the start of last season, an exit does not seem impossible this time around.

Of players to have started at least 10 games in Serie A since the start of last season no player averages more passes per game than Jorginho (98.7).
