Manchester United ace agrees personal terms with Serie A giants

Romelu Lukaku has agreed personal terms with Inter as a summer move away from Manchester United edges closer, reports The Sun.

The 26-year-old wants to leave United after two years at the club after dropping down the pecking order under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season.

New Inter head coach Antonio Conte has earmarked Lukaku as a top priority this summer after missing out on his signature during his time as Chelsea manager.

Lukaku has already hailed Conte as the best manager in the world and it has now emerged the Belgium international has agreed personal terms with Inter.

Lukaku has reportedly reached a verbal agreement over a £180,000-a-week long-term deal, which represents a pay-cut on his United wage.

Selling Lukaku is not a priority for United this summer but they are willing to let the Belgian leave if they can recoup their initial £75m outlay.

Inter need to raise funds in to order to afford a deal for Lukaku and the transfer hinges on whether they can sell Mauro Icardi.

Icardi’s relationship with Inter has soured since the turn of the year after being stripped of the captaincy in February.

However, Inter are struggling to find a willing buyer for the Argentina international and United have reportedly already rejected a part-exchange deal involving the 26-year-old.

Lukaku has scored more Premier League goals than any other United player since joining the club two years ago (28).
