West Brom have secured the services of striker Salomon Rondon for a club-record transfer fee.
The Venezuelan had been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool earlier in the summer, but the Reds instead opted to pursue their interest in Christian Benteke.
This paved the way for the Baggies to move for Rondon, who has signed for West Brom for a fee of around £12m.
Rondon impressed for Russian Premier League side Zenit St. Petersburg last season, with his return of 13 league goals bettered only by former teammate Hulk (15).
The 25-year-old has penned a four-year deal, West Brom has confirmed.
"I am very happy to be here," Rondon told the club’s official website.
"This is a new opportunity in my career. I can’t wait to be with the other players and to play.
"The club showed a lot of interest in me, that’s what is important for a player, what you take into account, and there are expectations of me."
