Chelsea have won the race to sign sought after striker Michy Batshuayi after agreeing a €40m (£33.2m) deal with Marseille, claims French newspaper L’Equipe.
Antonio Conte’s side have beaten off competition from Premier League rivals West Ham and Tottenham after gazumping both with a late bid on Tuesday night.
Batshuayi, 22, is due to undergo his Chelsea medical after Belgium’s Euro 2016 quarter final encounter with Wales on Friday before putting pen to paper on a five-year deal.
The Marseille striker scored with his first touch against Hungary on Sunday and finished last season with 17 goals and nine assists from 36 appearances in Ligue 1.
