Tottenham to grant winger loan move

Tottenham are considering allowing Georges-Kevin Nkoudou to leave on loan this month, with Burnley interested in the young winger, according to the Daily Mail.

The Frenchman joined Spurs from Marseille last summer, but has struggled for game time following his arrival in north London with the club now prepared to let him leave until the end of the season.

Burnley are in the market for a new wideman after Robbie Brady was ruled out until the end of the campaign with a serious knee sustained in their 1-0 loss to Leicester at the beginning of December.

Nkoudou netted in Tottenham’s 3-0 win over APOEL in the Champions League, yet has failed to make a lasting impact under Mauricio Pochettino, making just one league appearance this term, that coming late on in a 1-0 win over Bournemouth in October.

A loan move is the ideal scenario for all parties, with Burnley boss Sean Dyche also thought to be in the market for a new centre-back before the close of the January transfer window.

Despite a lack of game time, Nkoudou, 22, is completing more dribbles per 90 (5.9) than any other Tottenham player in the Champions League this season to reinforce a statistically calculated WhoScored strength of ‘dribbling’.
