Liverpool preparing fresh move for Gladbach ace

Liverpool could renew their interest in January in Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud according to German publication Die Express.

Dahoud was a target for the Reds over the summer, only for Gladbach to resist the temptation to cash in on the 20-year-old following the sale of Granit Xhaka to Arsenal.

The Syria-born man has made only four league stats for the Bundesliga outfit this season, however, which could see Liverpool return with a £26m bid for the youngster in the New Year.

It remains to be seen whether Gladbach will cash in on the young midfielder in January, though, despite a lack of regular game time this campaign.

His current contract expires in 18 months’ time which could tempt Gladbach into selling, particularly with Dahoud’s head supposedly turned following interest in his signature.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in Dahoud, while Liverpool are not short of options in the middle of the park, though manager Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of the Germany U21 international.
