Barcelona talks continue for Norwich right-back Aarons

Barcelona have stepped up their pursuit of Norwich right-back Max Aarons, reports AS.

The Spanish side have conceded defeat to Bayern Munich in pursuit of Ajax's Sergino Dest and are now focused on prising Aarons from Norwich.

Barcelona need a new right-back with Nelson Semedo on the brink of joining Wolves in a deal worth in the region of £30m.

Ronald Koeman's side have already had one offer for Aarons rejected by Norwich but are confident of getting a deal over the line for the Championship whizz.

Barcelona's original proposal was a season-long loan with an option to buy but as long as there is an obligation to make the switch permanent Norwich will likely accept.

Norwich will sanction Aarons' move to Barcelona if the LaLiga giants agree to pay around £20m plus £10m in add-ons, though the deal will likely come to less than that.

Daniel Farke has largely managed to keep all of his squad in place following their relegation from the Championship aside from Jamal Lewis' departure to Newcastle.

However, Norwich can not deny Aarons the chance to join Barcelona and will not stand in his way if a fair deal is struck.

Aarons started all but two league matches for Norwich in the Premier League last season and didn't commit a single error leading to an opposition goal.
