Leroy Sane has told close friends he does not want to join Bayern Munich this summer, claims The Sun.
Bayern have earmarked Sane as a top transfer target as they look to replace Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben.
The Bundesliga champions had a £70.7m bid for Sane rejected at the end of May and have conceded their chances of signing the City winger are slim.
City have reportedly slapped a £90m asking price on Sane’s head despite the fact they are no closer to a resolution in contract talks.
Sane has two years left to run on his existing contract but dropped down the pecking order at City last season.
Despite assurances of regular playing time at Bayern, Sane is set to stay in the Premier League this summer.
The 23-year-old believes the Premier League is the best place for his development even though he is not a regular starter under Guardiola.
Sane is the only player to register double figures for goals and assists in each of the last two Premier League campaigns.
