King signs four-year deal with Bournemouth

Josh King has signed a new four-year deal with Bournemouth.

The Norwegian striker has enjoyed an impressive 2017 to date, netting 13 league goals for the Cherries, with his form attracting interest from Tottenham, Everton and West Ham.

However, the 25-year-old has committed his future to the club, which comes as a boost to Bournemouth.

“AFC Bournemouth forward Joshua King has signed a new four-year deal,” a statement read on the club’s official website.

“The Norwegian international, who top scored for the Cherries last season with 16 goals, will remain at Vitality Stadium until at least the summer of 2021.

“King arrived from Blackburn Rovers just over two years ago, having previously spent time at Manchester United, Preston North End, Borussia Monchengladbach and Hull City.

“He scored seven goals in his first season on the south coast, before following it up with a personal best last term – including 12 strikes in just 14 games.”

On his new deal, King said: “There was a lot of talk during the summer but I always made it clear I wanted to stay here.

“AFC Bournemouth is a great club that is always looking to improve, the manager has been brilliant with me and we have a fantastic squad.

“The future here is bright and I’m really happy that I will be a part of that.”
