Liverpool target Jonas Hector has signed a new deal with FC Cologne, the Bundesliga club has announced, via Get German Football.
Hector, 26, has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool this summer as Jurgen Klopp had initially looked to sign a new left-back this season.
The Germany international, who can also play in midfield, has, however, put pen to paper on a new five-year deal keeping him at FC Cologne until 2021.
Hector proved more of an attacking outlet last season registering four assists in the Bundesliga having failed to set up a single goal the campaign before.
