Madrid ready to dump creative midfielder

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has been left shocked by Isco’s attitude and is looking to sell the Spaniard in the summer, according to The Daily Mirror.

Isco, 23, has never established himself as a first-team regular since his arrival from Malaga in 2013 and is now set to be shown the exit door by the Madrid boss.

The Spain international is expected to be chased by Manchester City and Juventus, with the former holding a long standing interest in the creative midfielder.

It caps a remarkable turnaround in mindset from Zidane, who had planned to make Isco central to his first-team plans when he was named Rafa Benitez’s replacement after being impressed by his ability when he was assistant to Carlo Ancelotti last season.

However, that has now all changed after Zidane was left shocked by Isco’s lack of application and poor attitude.

Despite never being one of the first names on the teamsheet, only three other players have completed more accurate through balls than the Spaniard (28) since August 2013, which is at least 10 more than any other Madrid player.
