Premier League creator emerges on Liverpool’s radar

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is interested in signing Brighton creator Pascal Gross in January, claims The Daily Mirror.

Gross was the first signing Brighton made after being promoted to the Premier League in the summer of 2017.

Brighton only paid £3m to sign the 27-year-old and he has been a revelation for the Seagulls.

Gross’ season has been disrupted by injuries this season but Liverpool have emerged as shock admirers of the creator.

Klopp is well aware of Gross’ qualities dating back to when the pair were both plying their trade in the Bundesliga.

Liverpool have struggled to create goalscoring chances from midfield this season, though that should improve once Naby Keita completes his adaptation period.

The Merseyside outfit were heavily linked with a move for Lyon star Nabil Fekir to fill the void left by Philippe Coutinho but a transfer collapsed.

Klopp is not desperate to strengthen his squad in January but is considering a £15m move for Gross to help bolster their ambitions in all competitions this season.

Only six players have registered more key passes than Gross in the Premier League since the start of last season (95).
