Barcelona are prepared to wait until next summer to secure the services of Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The France international, who recently bamboozled the England defence in Les Bleus’ 3-2 win over the Three Lions, is one of Barcelona’s top transfer targets.
Reports suggested that the La Liga side had agreed personal terms with Dembele for his move to Camp Nou, but that the two teams were yet to come to terms on a fee.
However, Barcelona are now willing to wait until the end of the 2017/18 season to sign the 20-year-old in a bid to force the Frenchman’s hand and look to request a move to Spain this summer.
Barcelona are expected to invest heavily this summer, with a new central midfielder their primary port of call, which has seen Marco Verratti linked with a move to the Blaugrana.
Lucas Lima is also said to have agreed personal terms with Barcelona and is expected to move to the Spanish outfit at the end of 2017 once his contract expires.
