Harry Kane will be fit for London derby with Arsenal

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed Harry Kane is suffering with a knee injury but the Tottenham star will be fit for the first north London derby of the season against Arsenal on November 18.

Kane was substituted off in the 77th minute of Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend before withdrawing from the England squad for upcoming friendlies against Germany and Brazil.

His withdrawal raised initial doubts whether he would be fit in time for the trip to Arsenal after the international break, but Pochettino insists the 24-year-old will be fit to play at the Emirates.

“Harry Kane is OK,” The Independent quote Pochettino as saying at the launch of his book ‘Brave New World’. “You can see in the last game he received a kick to his knee, but he will be available for the next game.”

Kane has been in stunning form for Tottenham this season and his absence against Arsenal would have been a huge blow for Pochettino’s side, particularly after missing the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at the end of last month.

The Tottenham No.10 is leading the goalscoring charts in the Premier League this season alongside Manchester City record scorer Sergio Aguero (eight goals each).
