Porto sign Osvaldo on a free

Porto have signed Southampton flop Dani Osvaldo on a free transfer, the Portuguese side have announced.

Osvaldo, 29, joined Southampton as their club-record signing (£15m) in 2013, but quickly discovered he had no future at the club following several disciplinary problems.

The Italy international only made 13 Premier League appearances for the Saints before having his contract terminated at the start of the summer following loan spells out at Juventus, Inter and more recently Boca Juniors.

Osvaldo has only started 24 league games in the last two years, having been a regular performer for Roma prior to his move to Southampton and has now signed a two-year deal with Porto.
