Zenit St. Petersburg are looking to spend the £45m they recouped from the sale of Hulk to China by signing Chelsea attacker Oscar, reports The Daily Mail.
Oscar, 24, is still waiting to find out if he features in Antonio Conte’s plans at Chelsea next season and Zenit are looking to take advantage of the situation.
The Russian giants are looking to make a marquee signing after selling Hulk for a Asian club-transfer record and could face competition from long-standing admirers Juventus if the Brazil international becomes available.
Only Eden Hazard (71) and Diego Costa (41) have played a direct hand in more league goals for Chelsea than Oscar (39) in the Premier League since August 2012. In that time, only Juan Mata (60) has been subbed off more times in the Premier League than Oscar (59).
