I'll never match Messi and Ronaldo, concedes Chelsea star
Chelsea’s talismanic winger Eden Hazard has revealed he doesn’t have the mentality to be as prolific as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Jose Mourinho has previously urged his Chelsea No10 to be more ruthless in front of goal in order to be considered in the top bracket of players in world football.
However, Hazard has made the startling confession that he doesn’t believe he can fulfil his managers requests.
“I often ask myself what I can do to become like Messi and Ronaldo and score 50 or 60 goals in a season. I try of course but I realise that I will never be a true scorer. It’s not in me. It is mainly mental,” Hazard told Sport/Foot Magazine.
“At 2-0, not thinking that is enough for example. Sometimes I still think after a goal, ‘that’s enough’. I’m not in search of records like some other players – if I can score between 15 and 20 goals each season, I will be very happy.”
“I’m at a peak of my career but I want to become even better every day. I’m not there yet.”
The Belgium international has scored 37 goals in 107 league appearances since joining Chelsea in 2012. Comparatively speaking, Messi has scored 117 goals from 101 league appearances and Ronaldo has netted 113 times in 99 league appearances.

He's still only 24, has years in him
@David99907 Messi with 24 years: 3 ballon d'or, Cristiano Ronaldo with 24 years: 1 ballon d'or
What a strange thing to say.
Hazard = good player only, Messi = best player ever, Cristiano Ronaldo = phenomenal
strange admission to concede he hasn't got the mental capacity to be a great. May be true, but not something you'd think he would admit
