Arsenal could still make shock move for ex-United defender

Arsenal still have £15m-rated West Brom defender Jonny Evans on their radar this summer, according to The Daily Mail.

Evans, 28, only joined the Baggies last summer after failing to establish himself as a United player but has quickly become one of Tony Pulis’ best players.

Arsenal are determined to sign a new central defender before the transfer window shuts and Wenger could return to Evans should he fail to sign Shkodran Mustafi or Gimenez.

No player to have made more than one appearance for West Brom in the last two Premier League campaigns has a higher WhoScored.com rating (7.20).
