Reims defender Aissa Mandi is set to join Real Betis after the two clubs agreed a €4m (£3.3m), according to L'Equipe, via Get French Football.
Mandi, 24, has spent seven years with French side Reims and has established himself as one of the most consistent defenders in Ligue 1.
The Algeria international has reportedly turned down offers from the likes of St Etienne and Middlesbrough to try his hand at life in Spain.
In the last three Ligue 1 campaigns, Mandi has completed at least 30 more interceptions than any other player for Reims (244). Furthermore, no defender scored more goals in the last two Ligue 1 campaigns than Mandi (11).
