Liverpool attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho would be ‘happy to sign’ for Barcelona in January, according to Spanish outlet Sport.
Coutinho, 23, was linked with a move to the La Liga champions last month after Neymar revealed he’d like to see his Brazilian compatriot play alongside him at the Nou Camp.
The news spells bad news for Brendan Rodgers’ successor, who will be tasked with convincing the club’s Player of the Year from last season to remain at Liverpool.
The challenge could be made even harder with reports suggesting a possible deal to Barcelona could be aided by the good relationship shared with Coutinho's agents.
The Brazil international is yet to reproduce the same kind of performances that dazzled last term, but since the start of last season only Alexis Sanchez (139) and Eden Hazard (207) have completed more dribbles than Coutinho (121).
