Former Roma boss set for Marseille job

Former Roma manager Rudi Garcia is on the verge of becoming Marseille’s new manager, according to French radio station RTL, via Football Italia.

Garcia, 52, has been out of work since being sacked as Roma manager in January and was previously mentioned as a possible candidate to replace underfire Inter manager Frank de Boer.

However, that would now appear dead in the water with Garcia poised to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal with Marseille, as new American owner Franck McCourt looks to invest heavily in the Ligue 1 outfit.

In three years at Roma Garcia finished with a win ratio of 51.7% but was sacked after managing just one win in seven league matches.
