Spurs set to give manager new deal

Tottenham are readying a new contract for manager Mauricio Pochettino, reports the Sunday Mirror.

Pochettino is less than two years into the five-year deal he signed when he moved to White Hart Lane in 2014, but his success has attracted interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Premier League giants are both expected to be on the look out for a new manager at the end of the season and have earmarked Pochettino as a possible appointment.

Spurs are understandably keen to retain the services of the 43-year-old amidst interest from the pair and are hoping a new contract will nip any speculation in the bud.

The north London side are currently battling on three fronts, with Spurs hoping to progress to the next round of the FA Cup at Crystal Palace's expense on Sunday after a week that saw them secure a 2-1 win at Manchester City and a credible 1-1 draw with Fiorentina.
