Manchester City leading the race to sign in-demand Arsenal forward
Manchester City are leading the race to sign wantaway Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, according to Manchester Evening News.
Alexis has attracted ample interest in recent months following a number of stunning displays for the Gunners, with City one of a number of teams linked with a move for the Arsenal ace.
Chelsea have been mooted as a potential destination for the 28-year-old, as has Bayern Munich, where compatriot Arturo Vidal has urged the Bundesliga champions to sign his Chile teammate.
However, City have the edge over both Chelsea and Bayern, with manager Pep Guardiola keen to link up with Alexis once more.
The pair worked together in a solitary season at Barcelona and Alexis is eager to play under Guardiola again, which has seen City leap to the front of the queue of possible suitors.
City are prepared to pay upwards of £50m for Alexis, who is entering the final year of his current contract, but Arenal would prefer he move abroad, while the player’s agent is supposedly keen to see him move to Bayern.

I guess 400 million in attacking players isn't enough for City.
But this doesn't make sense. City already have plenty of fire power up front.
@6seconds Unless Aguero is on his way out, which doesn't seem likely.
