Wilshere set to sign new £100,000-a-week Arsenal deal

Arsenal have made a breakthrough in discussions with Jack Wilshere and now the midfielder is poised to pen a new £100,000-a-week deal, claims the  London Evening Standard.

Wilshere’s current deal is due to expire this summer and it was only a few months ago that the 26-year-old looked destined to leave the club on a free.

Arsenal initially wanted Wilshere to take a pay-cut on his basic salary to sign a new deal but now the Gunners have returned with improved terms.

Wilshere, who missed out on a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the 2018 World Cup squad is now poised to earn £100,000-a-week over the next three years.

The Arsenal No.10 has managed to overcome his injury woes this season and re-establish himself as a key player for the Gunners.

Wilshere started 12 league games for Arsenal this season, his best return in a single-campaign since 2013/14 (19 starts).
