Everton reject £12m bid for Ademola Lookman

Everton have turned down RB Leipzig’s £12m bid for Ademola Lookman, claims The Daily Mirror.

Lookman spent the second half of last season on loan at Leipzig and made a real impression towards the end of his time there.

The 20-year-old is keen to return to Leipzig but the Bundesliga outfit are now pondering their next move after failing with their opening bid.

Lookman joined Everton from Charlton in an £11m move at the start of 2017, but the England Under-21 international has struggled to break into the first-team at Goodison Park.

Everton are reluctant to let Lookman leave Merseyside on a permanent deal, as they are aware of his talent and potential.

Lookman started as many Bundesliga games for Leipzig during the second half of last season as he made Premier League appearances for Everton during the first six months (7).

He scored five goals and provided three assists in 11 league games for Leipzig, garnering a WhoScored rating of 7.01.

Despite only playing the second half of last season in Germany, only three Leipzig players scored more league goals than Lookman.
