Real Madrid are weighing up a move for Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic, according to OK Diario, via Goal.com.
According to the report, Madrid are frustrated having seemingly been pipped to the signature of Santos star Lucas Lima by their La Liga rivals.
Barcelona have reportedly wrapped up a deal to sign the Brazilian starlet in a similar way to which they beat Madrid to Neymar.
Madrid are now suggested to be plotting their revenge and they have made signing Rakitic one of their number one priorities in the summer and have even made contact with his representatives.
Barcelona signed Rakitic from Sevilla in 2014 in a deal worth a reported £16m and the Croatia international took no time to adapt to the demands of Barcelona and has since developed into a key player in their midfield.
In fact, if you discount the goals scored by their front three, Rakitic is their next top goalscorer in the league since the start of last season (8).
