Borussia Dortmund hint at Aubameyang exit

Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc has suggested Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may leave this month after growing disillusioned by his behaviour this season.

Aubameyang was dropped from Dortmund’s squad for Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Wolfsburg after being disciplined by the club for the third time in less than 12 months.

The Gabon international failed to turn up for a team meeting in midweek and was subsequently replaced in the starting XI by 18-year-old Alexander Isak against Wolfsburg.

“At some point you can’t tolerate it any more,” The Daily Mirror quote Zorc as saying after the match. “I don't know what’s going on inside his head. We had a very contentious discussion today. We’re not used to this behaviour from him.

“What is going on now is not to be tolerated by the club. It is clear: it cannot go on like this. I don’t know what is going through his mind. I don’t recognise him anymore.

“There is trouble in the team and that is not good.”

Despite off field troubles, Aubameyang has still be at his goalscoring best this season. Only Robert Lewandowski (15) has scored more Bundesliga goals than Aubameyang (13) this season.
