Stoke City fear they could lose Wilfried Bony in January due to a clause in his loan agreement with Manchester City that would allow him to move to China, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Bony, 27, joined Stoke on an initial season-long loan deal during the summer after being deemed surplus to requirements under new City manager Pep Guardiola.
The Ivory Coast international, however, could be on the move in January if a side from China expresses an interest to sign the striker outright, which would be a real blow for the Potters even though he has underwhelmed since his arrival.
City are keen to offload his reported £125,000-a-week wages on a permanent basis and are hopeful Bony will be the next player the riches of the Chinese Super League turn too when the transfer window re-opens in the new year.
Bony has only managed two goals in nine league appearances for Stoke this season, with both of his goals coming in 3-1 win against his former club Swansea.
