Hal Robson-Kanu has signed a new three-year deal with West Bromwich Albion, the club has confirmed.
The Wales international secured a free switch to the Baggies last summer following an impressive Euro 2016 showing.
Robson-Kanu made only five Premier League starts last season, but was on hand to score three goals and register a further two assists.
“Hal Robson-Kanu has signed a new and improved contract with Albion which confirms his commitment to The Hawthorns until 2020,” a statement read on the club’s official website.
“The Baggies have rewarded the 28-year-old striker for his efforts in a debut season for the Club which won the acclaim of supporters and bagged his team vital victories.
“Hal’s stunning match-winner at Southampton was voted 'Goal of the Season' by members of Albion's official supporters' clubs while his vital effort finished off Arsenal in another memorable impact from the Wales international.
“During the campaign, Head Coach Tony Pulis highlighted Hal’s professionalism and ability to fulfil a number of different roles on the pitch and that has seen the Club reward him with an improved three-year deal.”
On his new deal, the 28-year-old said: “I’m delighted because it’s an opportunity to build on the good work we did last season and now I’m just looking forward to the new one.
“It was an easy decision. I’ve enjoyed my time here playing under Tony Pulis. It was a strong season and I want to build on the good work and contribute to a more successful future.
“As soon as I arrived the fans took to me and that love grew over the course of the season.
“And the lads have been terrific – they are a fantastic bunch of players and you can see there is a real togetherness in the squad.”
West Brom head coach Tony Pulis added: “Hal’s a great lad, hard-working and an honest pro who fits in well with the group.
“I’m glad that we have been able to tie him down."
Robson-Kanu will face stiff competition for a starting spot next season following the arrival of Jay Rodriguez from Southampton.
