Donnarumma mulling latest AC Milan contract

AC Milan have tabled an improved €4.5m per year contract offer to teenage goalkeeping sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma but agent Mino Raiola has requested a few days to assess the new deal, reports Sky Italia, via Football Italia.

Donnarumma has entered the final 12 months of his existing deal with the Serie A giants and has been heavily linked with a big money move to a number of Europe’s biggest clubs after establishing himself as one of the most exciting young players on the continent.

Milan’s original offer of €2.5m per year was knocked back by an unhappy Raiola and now the super agent will sit down with Donnarumma to discuss the improved deal on the table, although they are adamant a release clause is included in any new contract the Italian signs.

It would be a disaster for Milan if they failed to convince Donnarumma to sign a new contract as the Italy international would in theory be able to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of next season.

Donnarumma finished the season as the highest rated goalkeeper in Europe’s top five leagues (7.05).
