Ajax have confirmed Hakim Ziyech will join Chelsea at the end of the season.
Chelsea had an offer by Ajax rebuffed in January but have moved to secure his signature for the summer.
Ziyech agreed a new deal with Ajax at the start of the campaign that removed a £26m release clause in his old contract.
Despite the fact Ajax are free to command what they want for the Morocco international, Chelsea have reportedly managed to sign Ziyech for an initial £33.6m rising to £36.7m.
Frank Lampard was left frustrated with Chelsea for failing to sign a single player last month despite overturning a FIFA-imposed transfer ban.
The Premier League giants have moved quickly to secure one of Lampard's top transfer targets amid interest from rivals Manchester United.
