Zinedine Zidane has admitted that he is hoping to keep James Rodriguez this summer.
The Colombia international has been strongly linked with a move away from Real Madrid this summer, with a host of teams across the continent keen on the creative star.
Rodriguez failed to convince Zidane he was worthy of a regular starting spot last season and while reports suggested that an exit was on the cards, the Real Madrid boss appears to have made a U-turn on his decision on the Colombian.
"I do not want him to leave, he is a Madrid player, he just wants to play more, but you have to do what he is doing and work," is quoted as saying on Sky Sports.
"I hope to play him more this year, but I want everyone to give the maximum, and then I decide every game.
"And I have 25 players, so I do not have anything against James, people always ask me the same. James is well in Madrid."
