Barcelona have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Hector Bellerin after Arsenal announced the defender has put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with the club.
Bellerin, 21, has been heavily linked with a return to Barcelona, having joined Arsenal from his boyhood club as a youngster in 2011.
However, the Spain international has always insisted he is happy at Arsenal and not interested in returning to Barcelona, which is now confirmed after signing a new long-term deal with the Gunners.
Bellerin is currently sidelined after sustaining ankle ligament damage in the North London derby before the international break and isn’t expected to return to first-team action until December.
Since the start of last season no defender has registered more assists in the Premier League than Bellerin (6).

"Barcelona target", hahaha. Great news.
@What4 he is earning 100,000 pound a week. One of the highest earner in the 4ssnal squad(the kid barely turned legal). I'm betting it is time for sanchez and ozil rip uncle scrooge korenke off too. So don't celebrating this news yet. By the time his next contract comes he will either leave or he will become the highest earner in 4ssnal. That will be joke of the century.
